How to bet on yourself (for the high-income professionals)
Betting on yourself is scary. It is difficult. Especially if you have done well in your career and you’ve built a career with skills that are high-paying and in-demand. Companies and employers will fight over you and pay you handsomely for your time and service. If such company’s mission and vision align with yours, great. But if you desire to chase your dreams, you have a dilemma – take the red pill and choose you, or take the blue pill and return to the comfort zone.
Ultimately, you have to make a choice, to bet on yourself — your dream, vision — or give it up and work on somebody else’s dream. The latter can be a comfortable life — high pay, social status, stability. But the former is a path that reveals your true self — what your dreams are, what your capabilities are, what your personalities are in uncomfortable zones. You are the captain of this ship call You, and you are now in complete control of your life. Wherever you end up going, you steered it there. There’s nothing and no one else to blame. Betting on yourself requires you to bring your A game. There’s no falling back. There’s nowhere to hide.
One piece of advice – whatever pill you choose, do it with 100% conviction and burn the boat of the backup choice. A decision has been made, and there's no turning back
